As a newly launched digital-first news channel, we are committed to telling the stories that matter most to Himachalis \u2014 with accuracy, depth, and a strong sense of local identity.<\/p>\n

In a time when much of the media is focused on headlines from the metros, Trending Himachal<\/strong> is rooted in the belief that meaningful journalism begins in our backyards \u2014 in our towns, our panchayats, our rivers, and our hills. That\u2019s why our newsroom is built in Mandi, but our ears are tuned to every corner of Himachal.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2025 by a group of journalists, writers, and local changemakers from across Himachal Pradesh, Trending Himachal<\/strong> was born with a single goal: to put Himachal Pradesh at the center of the news \u2014 not at the sidelines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Our team is local, passionate, and diverse. From senior reporters who\u2019ve covered the state for decades to young storytellers trained in multimedia journalism, we bring a mix of experience and fresh perspectives. Being headquartered in Nerchowk Mandi<\/strong>\u00a0gives us geographical and cultural proximity to both Upper and Lower Himachal \u2014 allowing us to serve as a true hub for regional news.<\/p>\n

      We chose to base our newsroom in Nerchowk Mandi<\/strong>\u00a0for more than just its central location. Known as the “Chhoti Kashi,” Mandi is a cultural, historical, and logistical center of Himachal Pradesh. It connects the hills to the plains, tradition to modernity, and stories to storytellers.<\/p>\n

      With its mix of rural and urban populations, proximity to both government and grassroots, and rich heritage \u2014 Mandi embodies the very diversity and dynamism we aim to reflect in our journalism.<\/p>\n

      Led by Editor-in-Chief Ritu Sharma<\/strong>, a journalist with over 15 years of experience in regional reporting, our team includes field reporters from Bilaspur, Chamba, Kullu, Kangra, and beyond. We also collaborate with local writers, youth correspondents, and citizen journalists to keep our coverage wide-ranging and authentic.<\/p>\n

      Our editorial, video, and research teams work from our office in Mandi and travel extensively across the state.<\/p>\n
